In this issue, we’ll share practical tips to help you navigate seasonal changes with balance and intention. You’ll also meet one of our dedicated clinicians, Roxanne Phan, LGPC, who is passionate about helping clients overcome life’s challenges and build confidence through compassionate, collaborative care.

Coping with Shifts in Light and Routine

With shorter days, it's natural for our bodies to produce more melatonin, which can affect our energy and sleep patterns. Add in new routines like early school mornings and busier workloads, and it’s completely normal to feel a bit overwhelmed.

But there’s no need to worry! You can proactively support yourself by:

● Soaking Up the Sun: Spend time outdoors in natural light whenever you can. A short walk on your lunch break or a few minutes on the front porch can help balance your mood and energy.

● Creating a Gentle Sleep Routine: Help your body adjust by establishing a consistent bedtime ritual. This could be reading a book, taking a warm bath, or simply putting away screens an hour before bed.

Remember, every small step counts toward a healthier, more energetic you.

Managing the "Back-to-Busy" Pace

Transitioning from a relaxed summer to a bustling fall can feel overwhelming. You might notice increased tension, racing thoughts, or difficulty focusing.

A helpful strategy is to prioritize and identify what’s truly necessary each week. Give yourself permission to let go of commitments that aren’t essential.

This approach creates much-needed breathing room and helps lighten your stress.

After all, emotional health is about finding a sustainable balance, not doing it all.
